We are pleased to summarize our three levels of search and recruitment activities. A more complete description of each level of service, detailing all terms and conditions on any of these methods is available on request.
Our company was the first to coin the phrase "contingency search" in 1977. The entire personnel placement industry has followed our lead. With this level of service, you pay no fees unless and until you hire a candidate we refer.
We obtain a complete job description, profile of the type of candidate you require, and develop selling points for your opportunity. Candidates are located through our extensive database, via our network of over 1,000 offices, or by direct recruiting efforts. We screen, interview, select the best candidates for your consideration, reference check them and manage the negotiation process to placement.
Our contingency fee is 30% of the candidate's total realistic first year's compensation. We submit the invoice when the offer and acceptance of employment is made. Our fee becomes due the day the new employee reports to work.
This level of search is for urgent and critical positions, when you need more attention to get the best possible candidate as quickly as possible. By partially funding the search up-front, we'll place more focus on the search. We'll assign one or more project coordinators who will penetrate the marketplace and recruit exactly the type of candidate(s) you require. Priority search is a highly effective way to fill multiple opening or high-level search assignments. Similar to contingency search, we obtain the same level of information from our client company as to the position and profile of the candidate. We also develop a "white paper" which is an effective means of presenting your opportunity to recruits.
Candidates are usually identified on these special assignments via direct recruiting activities, but at times, can also be found in our existing database or with the assistance of one or more of our offices.
On priority searches, we ask for a deposit of one-third of our search fee. This is invoiced at the start of the project. The deposit is deducted from our priority search fee of 33% of the candidate's total realistic first year's earnings. If we don't produce at least two qualified candidates on the search, within the time specified on our contract, we'll return the full amount of the deposit. We are reimbursed for telephone, videoconferencing and pre-approved travel expenses.
If the candidate selected should leave within two months of commencing employment, we will continue the search, charging only expenses.
Some important or high-level executive searches require "full marketplace coverage". To locate the very best talent, regardless of the location of the candidate, an executive search may be appropriate.
The highest level of service is provided to clients who select this level of search. We bring all of our resources into play and assign several people to the project, whose only function will be fulfillment of the position opening. Our fee is 30% of the first year's total, realistic earnings (including salary, bonus, commission and other cash compensation). Clients are billed for telephone, videoconferencing and pre-approved travel expenses related to the search. Clients are invoiced in three installments. The first invoice is submitted when the search is authorized; the second at the beginning of the second month; the third when the candidate accepts the position.
A client may cancel a search at any time. We will stop working immediately and our final invoice will include our fee, pro-rated to the date of cancellation, plus expenses incurred.
